How did you guys start playing RO

I was really really bored of my furst person shooters and I wanted a new game to play that was like an rpg or something and I didn't want to have to pay for it... So I was on gamespot looking game demos or free trials and I found this one and at first I didn't know that the free part was only for 30 days but I got sucked in.

i started by my freind at my school giving me manga i then bought some of the rangarok mangas then i looked onto google for pictures and found they had a game

I found it awhile ago when it was in beta... took too long to download on my 56k so I gave up...then like 3 years later..I happen to remember it tried the 15 day trial, I made a thief and got about to level 40 and then my 15 day trial ended I didn't feel like paying for it so I made another account and played for 15 days..and one more time..my account ended and I didn't feel like paying for it then so I made another account ..this one I kept and paid for

i first started iRO during Alpha
i stopped playing a year after that, and then i started playing again around April 9, 2004
i was looking for a good rpg game to play, because i had nothing to do lol. and then my friend literally dragged me to my computer and went to the ragnarok site, and forced me to download it >.>
she was all like,
"play it!" of course, i didn't know what the heck it was, so i said no... and then she got all forceful x.x ("JUST PLAY THE D**N GAME!") so i played, and i liked it XD
i get hooked to games easily

I started because i was tired of studying for orgo last Nov. My suitemate was playing for like three years and this looked interesting. After i started my roomie started but stopped after a week.

found it thru an LJ friend of mine around June/July 03 >_> did 3-day trial, mom surprisingly agreed to pay... played for 1 month, went to Jamaica, didn't play again until Dec 03 xD now i keep playing.. only, took a break for about 2 months frommm nov 04 to jan 05 i think? O.o yeah. my story's boring xP

NOTE THAT FROM JUL 03 TO APRIL 05, KIWI'S HIGHEST LVL IS 72. WOOT. SHE IS A TOTAL SCREWUP xP

My friend was accepted to test the game and wanted me to test it with him. He told me we would get to play a free MMORPG, it was a huge game, and we could become GM's or maybe get rewarded. We were one of the first 50 people to play iRO. Our job was to find bugs and email them to gravity. We got no GM pow3rz, no reward, no thanks, nothing.

But we did get to keep our characters for alpha *yay*

I've been through it all:
Alpha was cool. It had only four cities, a kick ass prontera dungeon, and very hard leveling system. Level 30 was considered a legend back then.
I played through beta and paid beta.
I was in that incident where h4x0rz pwNzed Gr4vity and scammed over half the server of their items/accounts. We got rolled back like 3 times and I just decided to quit.
I started my own RO server, became a 1337 GM.
I missed leveling characters and decided to go back 6 months later.

It's funny how ive played for 5 years now and I still havent made a character over level 92 while people like Kiryuu has 2 accounts filled with 99 chars and hes only played for 2-2 1/2 years now. I guess i was too immature to realize that hard work=high level. I just liked to explore places and meet new people.

So ive become the ultimate RO nerd and I know just about everything about this game.



P.S.- Theres only two things i can remember back then from alpha and testing. I remember that the right of morroc was the popular hangout place...not prontera or alde. I also remember when dopple attacked me in prontera dungeon and I blamed my friend for killing me because he looked exactly like dopple. That was the fun times...no drama or anything.
