Scammer On The Loose

As of recently, there's been one, if not two, scammers running around. I don't know if they're both the same person, but it's likely. One has been posing as Anqel Rina from AE, the other as Angel of Lust (Krizzy) from KN. The way that they are doing this is by substituting the lower case L's in these names for capital I's. They PM people (namely guildmates and allies from what I've been told) and ask them for their account information, telling them that they want to test a character or build because they plan to make one, or an excuse similar to that at least.

Two members of AE have already been scammed this way, Hitosukai and another that I don't know the name of. Also, earlier today, Roxy was scammed of her Elven Ears and R. Flower by the person on Hitosukai's account (apparently not Hitosukai, but the scammer) when he asked her if he could try them on. He then went to storage and logged off.

For the time being, stay away from Hitosukai if you happen to see him and definitely don't give him any items or information. And look out in particular for the Anqel Rina and Angel of Lust imposters. If anyone, and I mean ANYONE PMs you and asks for an item, an equip, or your account information, ask them to verify who they are. Be this through Ventrilo, or MSN, whatever means you have to make sure that the person is who they say they are.

If any of the aforementioned people (or anyone else for that matter) PM you asking for items or your information and cannot verify who they are, no matter what the reason, please contact Stryder-Hiryu (Nelson), Caelius (Karl from AE), or any of the High Council.

Also there is one now impersonating my name ( -~Angelus~- ) by using a capital I instead of an L in my name, I will never ask you for your account information or to try on any of your equips, so please do not trust this person or speak with them.

he didn't say much to me, i just talked to him pretty much. he replied a very few times but when he did, it always said "This character is not your guildsman. Please check the name again." see here, the screenie that i sent to the gms. the guildsman warning, my cursor is on matt to show his guild and my status window is open to show that we have the same guild.

And its just funny how its only happening in Alde, well, cept for the Hideki from EL and Roxy from Valour part.

well, the fake krizzy could have targetted hideki because he had links to you and kn (that is if it's even the same person D:, kinda far fetched idea though), and roxy got scammed when she came back to ro, when she was in kn before leaving for valour. and it's actually been happening a lot to people in AK, that i know of at least. here's a few links to their forums.

ah poo, i forgot that you have to log in to see those XD sorry ;-; but yeah like sara said, it's just some screenies of people trying to scam AK members using the exact same method as our scammer, copying someone's name then asking to try out someone else's character.

oh yeah, and look out for gm impersonators now -_- a supposed 'sub gm' tried to get devin's account information yesterday too. i wouldn't be surprised if the fake angelus guy actually gave up on that name since he'd already been figured out and just made a gm name.

ya i got scamed liek that once by GM3 i thought it wuz legit cuz ppl cant get names with only 3 chars so maby they used a modded client or some thing so ya keep a look out
