This issue was brought up in high council. We were considering doing a universal 1% tax for all guild members. One reason is because it's hard for us to guild level together since most of us level at different hours of the day. Also this is a way of checking to see who's leveling. But mainly we need to get to Recall asap. I'm sure everyone agrees with that. For those of you that hate tax let me illustrate how little 1% is. 1% means 1 out of every 100 monsters you kill. Or another way of putting it is, for every Abysmal Knight you kill you lose about 85 exp points which is the equivalent of a poporing. But then again, after reading ragnainfo I guess some people call taxing selfish and a waste of time. But the way I see it, if you really care about this guild and it's growth, 1% is a way of showing that. So, whatever you feel, just cast your vote. Once a majority of the guild has voted Nelson will carry out the decision I guess.

This post should be moved in the Guild Suggestion section.

Wasn't,If you aren't taxed 1% you must attend to the 50% tax event,which i feel is fair enough. If you aren't attending to the 50% tax event with no valid excuse. Your out of the guild.
Even so,I don't really think that 1% exp is going to help all that much,Sens during my entire time in KN ive leveled from 86 to 93. (yes not that much) but ive been taxed 1% all the time,and ive not even reached 2mil.AND ive also attended to the 50% tax which has boosted my tax alot.
So i dunno,I doubt this will help,it will just aggravate those who "Psychically" freaks out. Due to tax.

I suppose it is true that 2mil exp may not be that much over time, but it will really add up if everyone gets taxed. We're still like, two levels away from Recall, and we're not doing guild tax events like we used to, AND two out of three of our lvl 99 guild lvlers have transed. Plus Carlo's been keeping himself busy on his new sader so that he doesn't feel the want to trans. It's only like, 1,000 out of every 100,000 exp you make. Is that really such a big deal? :/ And like David said, if you really care about this guild and it's growth, then you probably won't mind the tax.

Yar, but anyways if you've ever been in a major guild you probably have been subject to tax without permission. And those taxes are like 10-50%. I remember back when I was in LD I had 20% on for no reason. Not that I minded it but like the purpose of this vote is cause we shouldn't really tax people if the majority of the guild is going to be pissed off. and omg sara I just noticed your sig blinks

if your referring to me,I have been in a major guild. and ive been in a lot of guilds where ive been taxed without my "permission"
Im just saying,if your going for an all tax. 1% is not going to make a significant difference.
so yeah <.<;... well thanks for at least asking.
Why this is getting no where is cause you guys are posting in "you" forms which are directed to ME. If your talking about ppl in GENERAL,Post "They".
Cause im starting to get offended. <.<;

Well, if /everyone/ in the guild got taxed 1%, I think it would make a difference. Unless you're trying to say that we tax more? And even though we wont get as much exp as we would get if we did the guild hunts.. at least we're still getting some sort of exp, y'know? Also, it's not really just directed to you, Sara.. it's meant as in.. You, the reader. I dono if that makes sense or not.. but meh. *shrugs*

@sara
Uhh...there's really no need to be getting all defensive, I personally was not speaking to you as a singular person when I said 'you'. While 'they' is sometimes a more general term, 'you' can be also. Since I was speaking to the members of this forum as a general audience, I wouldn't say 'they' when I'm speaking directly to them. 'They' is more of a third person perspective, while 'you' is first person. So for instance if I was speaking to a boardroom full of executives, I wouldn't stand there and call them 'they', because that would be third person.
So again, I wasn't speaking only to you, I was speaking to the general audience of the forums. Also, I didn't perceive David's post like he was speaking only to you either. So I'm sorry if you were offended somehow. o.O

Sara I wasn't talking about you. I was just saying that as a general statement. A lot of people in KN have been in major guilds. I didn't mean to offend you.

Why did you guys "stop" giving out 1% tax before anyway? If this is so much about the growth of the guild. Wasnt everyone taxed 1% before? (like before all these new members came into the guild)

To tell the truth, I have no idea what happened to taxing before.

y dont we just have 1 percent tax set for each member, if some people want to be taxed more they can or u could do something like erm taxing day once a week where for an hour everyone has 50 percent tax> try and turn it into something fun maybe a big party somewhere groovy >> only a suggestion!

Thats what we've been doing, but since most people arent on and dont participate.. its kinda unfair, so I guess thats why they decided to put 1% on everyone.

Yeah, some people kind of avoid going to the guild hunts. And also.. Some of the higher level people die and lose % cause of mobs or something, which is bad. In order to be fair, I think everyone should be taxed 1% regardless. And if people want more tax, they can always just tell nel. =]
